What a great day in Amsterdam for the 2026 EMEA Women of Interlaw Network (WIN) Meeting!

A huge thank you to AKD and Henrike van de Laar for hosting us so generously, and to WIN leadership Jennifer Carrel and Beata Glinska for bringing this network together.

We enjoyed an engaging session on the power of conflict with Marloes ter Huurne, exploring why conflict matters, when it can be useful, and how to channel it constructively.
The day’s breakout sessions focused on WIN’s future direction.

In the afternoon, we enjoyed a guided walk through Amsterdam’s business district, discovering some remarkable architecture along the way, including the beautiful district court building and a striking high-rise with a facade constructed from recycled plastic bottles. Outside the courthouse, we admired Love or Generosity, Nicole Eisenman’s five-metre sculpture of a gentle, welcoming giant holding an owl, an arrow, and an acorn: a lovely example of how art softens the meeting point between the public and justice. The day rounded off with drinks and a wonderful dinner together.

It was a real pleasure to reconnect with familiar faces across the Interlaw Ltd. network and to make new connections along the way.
